Dani Berman (she/her) is a dancer, singer and choreographer. She is located in Manhattan, NY and the DMV area. She received her BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, specializing in Jazz techniques and choreography. She has trained and performed in dance for over 20 years and has worked with industry professionals such as Thomas Ford, Joshua Bergasse, Dylan Pearce, Sheila Barker, and Geoffrey Doig-Marx. Dani has also studied various techniques outside of the Jazz realm including modern, hip-hop and its subgenres, contemporary, tap, west african, lindy hop, and improv. Dani complimented her training through college with intensives such as the Ascend Contemporary Dance Intensive, in summer of 2023. Here, she worked intimately with in demand artists such as Kele Roberson, Shanees D. Kemp, and Kelly Sneddon-Walker.
Dani's heart lies in musical theater and is committed to her artistry in singing, dancing and acting. Most notably, Dani worked under Trent Soyster as dance captain in a 2021 production of Rent Jr. In her dance career thus far, Dani has been cast in theater and concert works choreographed by Monique Smith, Jamal White, Raja Feather Kelly, Dolly Sfeir, and Tamisha Guy.
Dani's choreographic mind is exercised often. She loves creating new works when she is inspired by her own life. In November of 2025, Dani debuted Supermassive Black Hole, which was inspired by the feelings of fem presenting people when preyed upon by the objectifying male gaze. Dani debuted her first staged work in November of 2024 called, I'm "Happy," commenting on the impact and fallout of abusive relationships. Additionally, Dani works closely with an all female rock band, Lipbomb, based out of Long Island, New York.
When she's not in the studio, Dani is an avid lover of exploring through the city. She is an outgoing and compassionate young woman whose interests are writing, babysitting, cooking and seeing Broadway shows. When she's not actively working towards her goals, Dani can likely be found curled up on a bed with her 2 year old dachshund, Ollie.
